I have always enjoyed people watching on the beach. And now that I am so deeply involved in my photographically oriented websites, I really enjoy taking people pictures at the beach. I watched this couple walking on the beach, and wondered if I will be lucky enough to enjoy both the companionship and mobility that they seem to be enjoying.
In true snap and run style, although I saw it for myself later, I had no idea there was a dolphin in the background of this shot when I snapped it. So there it is. The shot is all the more fun as I managed to include the dolphin that she is looking at.
And if you are interested in knowing, I was carrying my Nikon D80 with 18-55mm zoom lens when I snapped this shot. It's an AWESOME camera, and takes wonderful pictures in spite of me! Nowadays, they have an improved model for sale, which costs less than what I paid for my D80 (as I recall). But I must also say this. There are times when I don't want to carry the full load of a digital SLR with me, for a variety of reasons. At those times, I value the potency of a highly competent digital pocket camera. For some years now I have used a Canon Powershot SD as my pocket camera, and it has never let me down.
